उच्च न्यायालयाच्या न्यायाधीशपदी नियुक्ती होण्यासाठी पात्रतेचे निकष खालील प्रमाणे आहेत : (a) त्याने वयाची 35 वर्षे पूर्ण केली असली पाहिजे. (b) ती व्यक्ती भारताच्या प्रादेशिक क्षेत्रात दहा वर्षे न्यायिक पदावर असली पाहिजे. (c) ती व्यक्ती उच्च न्यायालयात दहा वर्षे वकिली करीत असलेली पाहिजे. (d) राष्ट्रपतींच्या मते तो व्यक्ती प्रसिद्ध कायदेतज्ञ असावी. पर्यायी उत्तरे :
